Paloma linocut print
Handmade Print
This piece is a hand printed fine art linocut print.
I am inspired by the my the playfulness and atmosphere experience in an cold afternoon walking in a Plaza full of pigeons in a city located on top of the Andean Mountains in South America.
This detailed relief print comes from and original hand drawing which is transferred to a linoleum block ready to be carefully carved, then the block is inked and laid on a press, paper is placed top and after applying pressure the print gets made.
Small yet full of character, this hand-pulled lino print captures a pigeon striding across Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá, a quiet witness to history and everyday life. From the first hand-drawn lines to the careful carving and final print, the entire creative process is done by hand. The result is a tactile, expressive piece that celebrates overlooked beauty, urban rhythm, and the poetry found in ordinary moments.
